Favorite Knoxville Locations

I have been photographing in the Knoxville area for over a decade and decided to compile some of my all-time favorite Knoxville locations for seniors (and families/couples as well).

All these locations made my list because they are super versatile and offer many different backgrounds and lighting scenarios.

I always love new locations so this list is not limited - just some ideas for inspiration :)

Other top runners not listed:

  • UT Gardens

  • Downtown Knoxville around market square

  • Sequoyah Hills

  • Bridgemore

  • Max Patch or Foothills parkway (travel fee added)

  • Stanley’s Greenhouse

*Keep in mind that each location will look different depending on the season

  1. Old City

So many diverse back drops - brick, concrete, glass, colored walls. Perfect for shooting in the late afternoon since the buildings offer a lot of shade and in winter since there isn’t much greenery.

2. Knoxville Botanical Gardens

I just bought an annual pass to photograph here and am stunned by its beauty! There is lush gardening, an ivy greenhouse, amazing stonework and a gorgeous road! This would look good in any season because the stonework and ivy but especially in spring and summer!

3. Ijams

This location has been an all time favorite location for many of my clients. In the fall and spring there is amazing flowering fields and there are always wheat fields and the quarry water in the off season of it!
